Role Overview
The Banquet Captain supervises banquet service operations and leads banquet service associates during meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
The role is based at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha and follows The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards for guest service and operational excellence.
Service and Guest Experience
- Lead and supervise banquet service staff during meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
- Ensure events follow event orders, brand standards, and guest expectations.
- Anticipate guest needs, personalize service, and handle guest requests, concerns, and service recovery.
- Maintain professional service etiquette and appearance.
Operational Execution
- Conduct pre-event briefings covering event details, service sequence, and assignments.
- Coordinate with Culinary, Sales, Stewarding, and Event Management teams.
- Confirm function-room setup, including table arrangements, décor, audiovisual support, and service equipment.
- Supervise food and beverage timing, presentation, quality, temperature, and standards compliance.
