Role Description
The Bakery Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Ajman.
The role prepares, bakes, and decorates breads, cakes, pastries, and cookies according to company recipes and quality standards.
The Bakery Chef plans production, operates bakery equipment, maintains product consistency, and supports product innovation.
Responsibilities
- Plan production schedules, measure and mix ingredients, and operate bakery equipment.
- Maintain consistent taste and presentation while meeting daily demand and special orders.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards and manage inventory of baking supplies.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team and support new recipe testing and bakery product development.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial bakery or food production experience with strong baking, pastry preparation, and cake decoration skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP or similar guidelines.
- Ability to organize production workflow and maintain quality under time constraints.
- Experience using ovens, mixers, proofers, and weighing instruments, including basic equipment maintenance.
- Attention to detail in taste, texture, presentation, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Formal culinary or bakery training, or equivalent professional experience, is required; branded food or large-scale production experience is advantageous.
