- A Baker is responsible for operating the bakery section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while preparing high-quality baked goods and supporting daily production requirements.
- What will I be doing?
- As a Baker, you are responsible for operating the bakery section of the kitchen while working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
- A Baker will also be required to prepare a variety of breads and baked items while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Assist in running the bakery section of the kitchen
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products
- Ensure excellent quality and consistency throughout all baked offerings
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product presentation standards
- Support daily production requirements and mise en place preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and baked goods
- Manage food cost controls and minimize waste

- To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- A minimum of 2 years as a Baker or Baker Chef de Partie
- Experience with high-volume bakery production
- Knowledge of bread making, dough preparation, and baking techniques
- Ability to prepare a variety of bakery items with consistency and quality
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A current, valid, and relevant trade qualification (proof may be required)
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Dedicated to the delivery of exceptional service and continuous improvement
- It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Relevant qualifications for the role
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons, and evenings
- Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
