Baker

Overview

• A Baker is responsible for operating the bakery section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while preparing high-quality baked goods and supporting daily production requirements.
• What will I be doing?
• As a Baker, you are responsible for operating the bakery section of the kitchen while working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
• A Baker will also be required to prepare a variety of breads and baked items while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Assist in running the bakery section of the kitchen
• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products
• Ensure excellent quality and consistency throughout all baked offerings
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product presentation standards
• Support daily production requirements and mise en place preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and baked goods
• Manage food cost controls and minimize waste

• To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
• A minimum of 2 years as a Baker or Baker Chef de Partie
• Experience with high-volume bakery production
• Knowledge of bread making, dough preparation, and baking techniques
• Ability to prepare a variety of bakery items with consistency and quality
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A current, valid, and relevant trade qualification (proof may be required)
• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills

• Excellent planning and organising skills
