- Prepare breads and pastries including dough, fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating
- Review production sheet to understand variety of bakery products to produce daily
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
- Maintain kitchen logs to comply with food safety program
- Inform chef of surplus food items for daily special planning
- Use tools, equipment, and measuring devices safely and appropriately
- Follow and ensure compliance with safe food handling policies and personal hygiene procedures
- Check and ensure kitchen appliances and food are at proper temperatures, report issues to managers
- Monitor quality of prepared food and portions throughout shift
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as role model
- Follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, protect company assets
Requirements
- Diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- No supervisory experience required

Job Overview

Qualifications
- Diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school.
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.

Physical Requirements
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) without assistance.
- Move on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
- Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Able to stand, sit, and move for extended periods.
