Role Description
The Baker prepares, bakes, decorates, and presents breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked products.
The role ensures consistent quality, taste, appearance, freshness, and food safety according to recipes, company standards, production requirements, and hygiene regulations.
Core Baking Duties
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, desserts, and other bakery products.
- Measure, weigh, mix, knead, proof, shape, and bake ingredients accurately.
- Operate bakery equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, proofers, and refrigerators.
- Prepare doughs, fillings, creams, icings, toppings, and other bakery ingredients.
- Decorate and finish products according to company presentation standards.
- Monitor temperatures, cooking times, product appearance, texture, and consistency.
- Conduct quality checks throughout preparation and baking.
Inventory and Production Control
- Maintain proper storage and handling of flour, yeast, dairy products, eggs, fruits, fillings, and other ingredients.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and report shortages, damaged products, or expired ingredients.
- Maintain production, ingredient usage, waste, and other required records.
