Position Summary
Build backend services that support NASA’s Extensible Traffic Management Client and integrated airspace management.
The client supports aircraft-operation planning and real-time message exchanges with supporting airspace systems.
Work as part of an agile team focused on code reviews and frequent, seamless production deployments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience developing enterprise-class applications in Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with microservice and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Spring, Maven, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and OAuth 2.0.
- Agile development experience.
- Ability to write reliable code, unit and integration tests, and clear documentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desired Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with RESTful and streaming APIs.
- Experience with AWS or similar service providers.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or other relational and NoSQL databases.
