Role overview
Tipalti is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help launch and scale a new finance automation product.
The role focuses on backend APIs and services supporting expenses and procurement functionality.
The engineer will work in a cross-functional squad with ownership over product and technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship end-to-end features for a new product.
- Develop scalable backend APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers on technical direction.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and pair programming.
- Mentor junior engineers and help raise engineering standards.
- Contribute to continuous learning and shared team success.
Technology stack
- The current technology ecosystem includes C#, Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS.
- Frontend technologies include TypeScript and React.
- The interview process is technology-agnostic and emphasizes engineering fundamentals, problem solving, and learning ability.
