Onehouse builds a cloud-native managed data lakehouse based on Apache Hudi to help organizations ingest, store, and use data across analytics and AI/ML workloads.
The company contributes to Apache Hudi and develops a transactional data lake platform for enterprise use.
Role Overview
The Backend Engineer joins the Kubernetes Infrastructure team and will build software powering Onehouse’s cloud platform.
The role focuses on extending Kubernetes with Operators, Controllers, and platform automation, not day-to-day Kubernetes cluster administration.
The software will manage customer deployments across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Kubernetes Operators and Controllers using Go and controller-runtime.
- Build Kubernetes-native automation for provisioning, upgrading, scaling, and managing distributed systems.
- Develop CRDs and reconciliation logic for platform lifecycle management.
- Build backend services integrating with Kubernetes APIs and cloud infrastructure.
- Improve reliability, scalability, and observability of Kubernetes infrastructure software.
- Collaborate with backend, data platform, and frontend engineers.
