The Backend Engineer may join teams spanning core, developer, data, admin, service, or developer productivity AI infrastructure.

What you will do
- Design, build, test, and ship code across technologies, systems, and processes.
- Build customer experiences for internal and external Stripe teams using infrastructure.
- Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders across Stripe to deliver value.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Minimum requirements
- Strong software engineering skills and passion for an infrastructure area.
- Ability to write high-quality code in Go, Java, C/C++, or another comparable programming language.
- Two to 12+ years of professional hands-on software development experience with algorithms and data structures.
- Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems.
