Role Overview
Autter runs agentic pipelines that analyze every pull request submitted to the platform.
The Backend Engineer will work on systems that detect blast radius, security vulnerabilities, behavioral regressions, and AI-generated code quality issues.
The role is remote with working-hour overlap across Pacific Time and India Standard Time.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain backend services in Node.js or Python that power pull-request analysis.
- Work on agentic orchestration pipelines using large language model APIs.
- Integrate with the GitHub API and process webhook events.
- Write scripts and tooling to support analysis and testing pipelines.
- Improve the accuracy and speed of existing detection engines.
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable with Node.js or Python in a backend context.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and webhooks.
- Curious about how large language models work and willing to experiment with prompting and tool use.
- Able to read a codebase that you did not write and determine how it works.
- Able to work hours that overlap with the team across Pacific Time and India Standard Time.
