Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and data pipelines in production
- Solid understanding of system design principles including scalability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Role Overview
- We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Backend Engineer to work on a contract, part time basis.
- This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power the training and evaluation of next generation AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to meet demanding performance requirements for AI model training infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business and technical needs into robust backend solutions that support AI development workflows.
- Optimize backend systems for reliability, security, and efficiency, ensuring seamless and high performance user experiences in production environments.
- Write clean, well documented, and thoroughly tested code, adhering to engineering best practices and security standards.
- Participate actively in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and facilitating knowledge sharing sessions to strengthen team technical capabilities.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in production environments, maintaining system stability and uptime targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js, with demonstrated experience building and maintaining scalable services.
