About the Role
CrossVal is building a smart financial platform for the MENA region and seeks a Backend Developer to build scalable serverless systems on AWS, design NoSQL data models in MongoDB, and integrate AI agents.

Responsibilities
- Build scalable, serverless backend systems using AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
- Design robust NoSQL data models (schemas and indexes) primarily in MongoDB
- Own applications end to end: building, testing, deployment, monitoring, and backups
- Write clean, modular code in Node.js with TypeScript
- Integrate AI agents and automation workflows using stacks like LangChain, OpenAI, and vector databases
- Ship features quickly with a high sense of ownership and learning on the go
Requirements
- Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Strong database design skills covering NoSQL schema and index design, with proven MongoDB proficiency
- Solid cloud infrastructure experience on AWS, including serverless architecture
- Ability to take an application end to end: build, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain backups
- Exposure to AI/LLM stacks like LangChain or embedding/vector search
- Strong problem solving mindset and attention to detail
- Driven, ambitious, and quick to pick up new tools and concepts

What You'll Do
