Business Description

HSBC's International Wealth and Premier Banking business serves retail customers through ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their families.

The business provides day-to-day banking, wealth management, asset management, private banking, and insurance services.

Its purpose is to provide borderless banking and wealth management through mobile-first capabilities and customer service.

Role Purpose

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional for its Premier Banking team.

The role serves high-net-worth individual clients and grows HSBC Premier relationships in line with business targets and strategic plans.

The role acts as a primary contact for Premier customers, anticipates needs, and provides banking and financial advisory services.

The role includes wealth reviews, tailored wealth solutions, exceptional customer service, regulatory compliance, and relationship trust.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Grow Premier client portfolios by developing new and existing relationships and achieving financial targets.
  • Conduct client reviews, recommend suitable products, cross-sell, and increase wallet share.
  • Maintain client relationships, update relationship management records, and manage the prospect pipeline.
  • Collaborate with branch and cross-business teams to meet client needs and performance measures.
  • Follow KYC, AML, sanctions, sales quality, and operational risk requirements.
  • Support colleagues, build internal networks, and gather feedback from clients and coworkers.

Knowledge and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • The GCB 6 profile requires 3 to 5 years of Retail or Premier Banking Relationship Manager experience.
  • The GCB 5 profile requires more than 5 years of Retail or Premier Banking Relationship Manager experience.
  • Experience with wealth products and high-net-worth client relationships is required.
  • Strong wealth management, communication, sales, networking, portfolio management, and financial services knowledge are required.
  • Familiarity with business banking segments and relationship management systems is required.
  • Valid wealth management licenses and accreditations are required where local regulations mandate them.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages is required.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is advantageous.
