HSBC is seeking an experienced professional for an Assistant Vice President role supporting private asset clients and fund-services operations.
The role supports regional fund-services products and sub-products, with responsibility for process efficiency, business continuity, and operational risk control.
Responsibilities
- Support fund services, trade uploads, pricing, reconciliations, accounting and valuations, and statutory reporting.
- Improve operational efficiency year over year and minimize the cost of new business.
- Support global operating model, workflow, and platform change initiatives.
- Establish effective business continuity planning for assigned processes.
- Monitor operational risk thresholds and control failures using three to five years of data.
- Reduce operational losses year over year and contain them within agreed risk limits.
Requirements
- Relevant funds administration experience with detailed understanding of a sub-process, control points, and end-to-end process risk.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, NAV calculation, and the end-to-end fund accounting model.
- Basic knowledge of custody, brokerage, depository, investment accounting, mutual funds, and reconciliations.
- Strong time management, multitasking, relationship-building, and operational risk awareness.
