Role Description

  • The Avionics Technician will install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems including communication, navigation, surveillance, and instrumentation equipment on various aircraft.
  • Daily responsibilities include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, running diagnostics, interpreting technical manuals and wiring diagrams, and ensuring all work complies with aviation regulatory standards and safety procedures.
  • The role involves documenting maintenance activities, updating service records, coordinating with engineering and operations teams, and supporting system upgrades and modifications.
  • The Avionics Technician will also participate in quality assurance checks and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance of aircraft systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, instrumentation, and flight control electronics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software for troubleshooting and calibrating avionics components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Experience working to aviation regulatory standards (e.g., EASA, FAA, GCAA) and adherence to strict safety and quality procedures.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in Avionics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
  • Previous hands on experience as an Avionics Technician or in a similar aircraft maintenance role.
  • Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in time sensitive, operational environments.
  • Team oriented mindset with clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, maintenance crews, and operations staff.
  • Willingness to work shifts, extended hours, or weekends as required to support flight schedules and maintenance demands.
  • Familiarity with digital maintenance systems and basic computer literacy for logging, reporting, and documentation.
