Internship Overview
Hatch is seeking an Electrical Engineering student for its Aviation Group in Vancouver.
The internship term begins in Winter 2027 and supports major infrastructure, power, mining, and aviation projects.
The student will work with experienced engineers and designers and receive guidance and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Support drafting and design deliverables with project engineers and team members.
- Use aviation and airport standards and engineering software in project work.
- Perform power system modeling and design using ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar tools.
- Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimating, design reports, drawings, and field review logs.
- Support airfield infrastructure, utility routing, and electrical engineering design.
- Review surveys, as-built drawings, existing data, and other project information.
- Conduct airport field reviews, including documentation, photographs, and construction comparisons.
- Support project delivery to budget and schedule.
Qualifications
- Be a third- or fourth-year student enrolled in an Electrical Engineering co-op program at an accredited university.
