About the Role
The Autonomy Software Engineer will develop flight autonomy capabilities for Hermeus’ supersonic vehicle fleet.
The role spans guidance and control, mission autonomy, and navigation while working with pilots, GNC, software platform, simulation, and command-and-control teams.
The engineer will own cross-functional technical problems from design through integration and flight testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop modern C++ software for flight autonomy, guidance, navigation, and control.
- Design mission-autonomy behaviors and vehicle decision-making capabilities.
- Develop and integrate guidance and control loops for unmanned aircraft.
- Integrate and validate navigation sensors and solutions.
- Integrate autonomy software with aircraft architectures, command-and-control systems, vehicle systems, ground systems, and operator interfaces.
