Autonomy Integration Build Engineer

Qualifications

• · Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Ocean Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
• · Familiarity with maritime industry standards including ABS electrical and control system requirements, and US Coast Guard regulations
• · Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, control systems, robotics, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems
• · Experience working with autonomous systems, robotics, or control system integration in marine, aerospace, or defense environments
• · Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino)
• · Experience with sensors (radar, lidar, cameras, IMUs, GPS) and sensor integration, calibration, and testing
• · Understanding of actuator systems including electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic actuators, valves, and control interfaces
• · Familiarity with control system architectures, PLCs, embedded controllers, and real-time operating systems
• · Experience with electrical testing equipment, network diagnostics, and communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, Modbus, serial)
• · Knowledge of software integration, configuration management, and firmware/software troubleshooting
• · Understanding of systems bring-up and integration testing methodologies
• · Strong communication skills across software engineers, electrical engineers, technicians, quality teams, and leadership
• · Comfortable working in an industrial shipyard environment with hands-on involvement in system installation and bring-up
