Autonomous Driving Software Engineer - Sensor Simulation (CA, Mountain View)

Tackle the challenge of autonomous drive through innovative software stacks that interface with all components of the automated driving vehicles.

Develop & support models of multi-radar system on vehicle for use in near-real-time applications.

Develop & support a software stack modeling vehicle cameras, including APIs managing external library interactions.

Develop & support a software stack handling formatting, resolution, & pre-processing of a video data stream.

Perform iterative model validation by comparing model results to real world radar & camera data from a vehicle.

Collaborate with the larger team of AD engineers, gaining exposure to multiple engineering disciplines and several projects simultaneously throughout the development lifecycle.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant field.

2+ years of software development experience with undergraduate degree or graduate degree plus related academic experience.

C++ development experience in a Unix/Linux environment.

Enabling systems on embedded platforms a plus.

Experience working within Game Engine software environments is a plus.

Experience with modeling sensors is a plus.

Strong problem solving skills.

Ability to learn.

Knowledge of software engineering process: software design, source control management, build processes, code reviews, etc.
