Electronics & Safety division (E&S) pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.

This role is designed to bridge the gap between raw, on-road vehicle test data and the root-cause diagnosis of specific issues within a particular Autonomous Driving sensor (radar, camera, lidar, maps etc), by providing a “resident” expert on the Vehicle Test team for each type of sensor. The Functional Test Engineers will decipher trends for their corresponding sensor in the on-road test data and use various data analysis techniques to build a concise list of new issues, and communicate the resolution of previous issues.
