The role typically includes greeting customers, listening to their concerns, recording vehicle issues, and translating those concerns into clear repair instructions for the workshop team.
Service advisors also prepare cost estimates, explain recommended repairs, schedule appointments, and keep customers updated on progress and pickup times.
In many garages, they also prepare repair orders, invoices, and related documentation
Key Responsibilities
· Welcome customers & assess their vehicle problems
· Coordinate with technicians on diagnostics, repairs, and parts availability
· Prepare estimates, repair orders, and invoices
· Explain recommended services, costs, and repair timelines to customers
· Keep customers informed during the service process
· Handle payments, follow-ups, and customer complaint
Required Skills
A strong service advisor usually needs excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Basic automotive knowledge is important so the advisor can understand repair needs and speak confidently with both customers and technicians.
Many employers also prefer computer literacy and experience with workshop or dealership software
Driving License is an added advantage
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
