Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, masking, filling, and priming before painting
- Apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and other finishes using spray guns and approved painting techniques
- Polish and buff painted surfaces to achieve a high quality finish
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Maintain paint booths, spray guns, compressors, and other painting equipment in good working condition
- Coordinate with body shop technicians and workshop supervisors to ensure timely completion of jobs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in estimating paint and material requirements for repair jobs
- Ensure efficient use of paint materials to minimize waste
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Certification in automotive painting or refinishing is an advantage
- 3–5 years of experience as an Auto Painter, preferably with both light and heavy vehicles
- Excellent knowledge of automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques
- Ability to perform accurate color matching
- Proficient in using spray guns, sanding equipment, and polishing tools
- Knowledge of painting booth operations and maintenance
- Ability to read and understand repair orders and technical instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job description
- The Auto Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and refinishing light and heavy vehicles to manufacturer and company quality standards. The role includes surface preparation, color matching, paint application, polishing, and ensuring a high quality finish while maintaining workplace safety
