Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Automation Engineer role based in Doha, Qatar.
The Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation systems that support industrial pump operations, flow control, and related equipment.
Responsibilities include programming and configuring PLCs and control systems, integrating sensors and instrumentation, and optimizing process control logic to improve reliability and efficiency.
The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting automation and electrical issues, coordinating with maintenance and operations teams, and ensuring minimal downtime for critical systems.
The Automation Engineer will also support system upgrades, documentation, testing, and commissioning activities, while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Automation and Process Control, including PLC/DCS/VFD/SCADA programming and control logic design.
- Proficiency in Electrical Engineering concepts related to industrial equipment, control panels, and instrumentation.
- Demonstrated ability in Troubleshooting automation, electrical, and control system issues in an industrial environment.
- Experience with Robotics or automated machinery integration is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in industrial plants or pump/flow control systems is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with safety standards, preventive maintenance practices, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with cross-functional teams.
