Automation Engineer (Control & Safety Systems)

Overview

• Design and implement automation solutions for Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop, test, and maintain control logic and algorithms for various automation tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Review and implement modifications in PLC, DCS and SIS systems.
• Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning and system integration testing.
• Provide technical support for automation and control system engineering activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze system performance and identify areas for optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automation systems, providing timely support to minimize downtime.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of automation processes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Perform software and hardware upgrades for ICSS equipment, ensuring compatibility and performance improvements.
• Utilize simulation tools to model and validate control strategies before implementation in live environments.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve automation methodologies.
