Role overview
Design and support next-generation HMI architectures, communications methods, and interface tools as part of a global matrixed design team.
Own the software development lifecycle for HMI and control-system applications, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
Core responsibilities
- Design and implement HMI screens for power management and process-control systems based on IEC 61850 standards.
- Develop HMI applications using Iconics, PCVue, and other HMI software packages while meeting customer and cyber requirements.
- Design, implement, and support industrial communication networks for control-system applications.
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain C# and .NET software applications, including APIs and web services.
- Design and optimize SQL Server database solutions, stored procedures, functions, reports, historians, and alarm management.
- Support field personnel with technical problem resolution, commissioning, and related equipment activities.
- Provide project quality-assurance assistance and work with global stakeholders and third-party HMI vendors.
Technical skills
- Industrial protocols include OPC UA/DA, IEC 61850, Modbus, TCP/IP, and Profibus.
- Relevant tools and technologies include C#, .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, SQL Server, MS Access, VBA, and Microsoft Windows.
