Job Description
The role focuses on preparing and maintaining accurate engineering drawings and related technical documentation for project use.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise 2D AutoCAD drawings, including general arrangement, fabrication, assembly, and detailed part drawings.
- Convert design inputs, sketches, and calculations into dimensionally accurate drawings for fabrication or review.
- Support basic SolidWorks 3D modeling and assembly work under supervision when required.
- Trace reference drawings, scanned documents, hand sketches, and marked-up prints into clean, to-scale CAD drawings.
- Maintain drawing standards, layers, title blocks, and templates.
- Coordinate design changes with mechanical, structural, and project engineers.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and document tracking.
- Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with drafting and engineering standards.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting for general arrangement, fabrication, and detail drawings.
- Ability to prepare and maintain Bills of Materials with part numbering, quantities, and descriptions.
- Understanding of engineering drawing conventions, tolerancing, and basic GD&T concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office for basic documentation.
