Role Description
The Audit Tax Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai.
The role oversees tax audit and compliance engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
The role manages tax planning, tax returns, financial statement review, indirect taxation guidance, client coordination, and team supervision.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage tax planning initiatives, tax preparation, and review of tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Oversee tax audits, deal with tax authorities, and resolve audit queries.
- Lead audit teams, supervise and mentor junior staff, and coordinate client engagements.
- Review financial statements for tax implications and provide guidance on indirect taxation.
- Monitor deadlines and prepare reports and recommendations supporting tax and audit decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in tax planning and tax preparation.
- Demonstrated tax audit experience, including audit process management and resolution of audit queries.
- Solid understanding of indirect taxation, including VAT and similar regimes.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial statements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- CPA, CA, CTA, or similar professional certifications are highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and deadline-management skills.
- Experience managing and mentoring audit and tax teams.
- Consulting or professional services experience, preferably within the UAE or GCC, is an asset.
