Manage a portfolio of external audit clients from planning through completion.
Maintain audit quality, strong risk focus, professional standards, and firm methodology.
Build client relationships while coaching and developing junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements and coordinate fieldwork, staffing, timelines, and task allocation.
- Assess engagement risks, evaluate controls, and design efficient audit responses.
- Review working papers, financial information, disclosures, and audit deliverables.
- Prepare and review auditor’s reports, management letters, and representation letters.
- Coordinate group-audit component instructions and reporting deliverables.
- Act as the day-to-day client contact and provide status updates.
- Coach associates and maintain ethical, independence, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Six to eight years of external audit experience, including supervision and review of team work.
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing.
- Working knowledge of audit methodology and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Experience with group audits, component coordination, and reporting packages.
- Ability to lead, coach, supervise, and review teams for quality.
