Role overview

The Audit Manager, Cybersecurity conducts cybersecurity audit and advisory engagements for BMO.

The role provides independent assurance on internal control, risk management, and governance systems to senior management and the Board.

The position identifies technology and control risks that could affect profitability, reputation, or regulatory standing.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead the scope, timing, execution, and reporting of cybersecurity audits.
  • Advise assigned business groups and influence stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Identify emerging issues, technology risks, and impacts on processes and control environments.
  • Help develop the annual audit plan and improve Corporate Audit processes.
  • Execute individual and enterprise-level audits using risk-based judgment.
  • Conduct advisory and investigative engagements as required.
  • Use data analytics to improve advisory engagement quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare objective, clear, concise, and timely audit reports.
  • Identify control deficiencies and assess their magnitude.
  • Maintain audit independence and compliance with Corporate Audit Methodology.
  • Monitor change management initiatives and participate in Corporate Audit change initiatives.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of relevant cloud and AI experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional or business designation such as CISA or CISSP is preferred.
  • Seasoned professional experience with relevant education and industry knowledge.
  • Expert verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, influence, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.

Workplace

  • The role is hybrid and requires three days per week in the Toronto office.

Compensation

  • The stated pay range is $70,000 to $150,000.
  • The position is salaried, and total compensation may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other rewards.
