Reports To: Assistant Director of Operations

Location: Gordon Commons and Fusion on First at Arizona State University – Downtown Phoenix

Compensation: $15.15 per hour.

Position works up to 20 hours per week.

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM), with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is a group of student housing professionals focused exclusively on the management of housing communities owned by non-profits and/or highly affiliated with a university.

Summary

A Student Maintenance Assistant is responsible for assisting with the preventative maintenance tasks in the community.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

General cleaning of the grounds.
Replacing air filters.
Replacing smoke detector and thermostat batteries.
Replacing light bulbs.
Distributing items to resident rooms.
Serve in on-call rotation for both fall and spring academic semesters as well as break coverage (fall break, winter break, spring break, etc.)
Operate front desk, answer phone calls, receive and log packages and mail, key management (lockouts and lock change process), receive maintenance requests, and paperwork management.
Assist with plumbing issues, cleaning spills, mopping, and water extraction.
Assist with move-in and move-out, arrive to campus prior to academic year begins and stay after end of academic year.
Other tasks as assigned.

Current student at Arizona State University – Downtown Phoenix Campus
Must be a resident of ASU Gordon Commons or ASU Fusion of First
Demonstrate proficiency in verbal communication.
Possess strong customer service skills.
Must have troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Experience living on college campus or similar group housing setting.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and navigate up and down stairs.
