Job summary
Entry-level management position supporting daily housekeeping, recreation or health club, and laundry activities where applicable.
The role works with employees to maintain guestrooms and public spaces, complete inspections, support corrective action, and maintain guest and employee satisfaction.
Education and experience
- A high school diploma or GED plus one year of housekeeping or related professional experience is required.
- Alternatively, a two-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major may qualify without prior work experience.
- Current knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations is required.
Housekeeping operations and budgets
- Maintain current knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Oversee lost-and-found procedures and comply with loss-prevention policies.
- Prepare work assignments using room-cleaning and prospective checkout information.
- Inventory stock and ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
- Communicate guest-room status to the Front Desk efficiently.
- Coordinate guest-room maintenance needs with Engineering.
- Inspect guestrooms and public spaces and support corrective action.
