Job Summary

Candidate Profile

• Either a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of related experience, or a 2-year degree in a related field with 2 years of related experience, is required.
• Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing is required.

Property Operations

• Supervise the distribution of repair work orders and monitor their timeliness and quality.
• Plan, schedule, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervise engineering and related areas in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
• Manage refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Maintain collaborative employee relationships and communicate business objectives and expectations.
• Arrange repairs, painting, renovations, and replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Select and purchase equipment, supplies, and furnishings.

Property Standards

• Inspect and evaluate facilities to determine required work.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Operate generators and fire pumps as necessary.
• Provide emergency response services 24/7.
• Repair refrigeration, laundry, and other equipment as necessary.
• Ensure employees have appropriate supplies, equipment, and uniforms.

Customer Service

• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
• Emphasize guest satisfaction and continuous improvement in departmental meetings.
• Set a positive example for guest relations.

Human Resources Activities

• Help train employees in safety procedures and support departmental orientation and new-hire training.
• Communicate performance expectations and ensure disciplinary procedures are documented according to operating procedures.
• Assist with interviewing and hiring, participate in performance appraisals, solicit employee feedback, and supervise staffing levels.

Workplace

• The role is based at the hotel property in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
• The position supports on-site engineering, maintenance, emergency response, and property operations.
