Key skills for this role
Parametric is seeking an Associate to join the Workflow Modelling and Orchestration team to support the design, build, testing, and delivery of enterprise operational workflows through Workflow Center, Parametric's Camunda-based workflow platform.
The role is a hands-on workflow practitioner who translates complex operational processes into clear requirements and executable workflows.
Working with Operations, Product, Technology, Risk and platform teams, the role supports the full workflow lifecycle from discovery and BPMN/DMN modelling through testing, deployment readiness and production support.
The role requires practical process analysis, attention to controls and exceptions, and a willingness to develop deeper Camunda expertise.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Discover and define workflows: Lead or support discovery sessions; document business objectives, triggers, actors, systems, data, controls, handoffs, SLAs, decisions and exception scenarios; translate incomplete processes into structured, testable requirements.
• Model executable processes: Design end-to-end BPMN 2.0 workflows and DMN decision logic, including user and service tasks, events, gateways, subprocesses, approvals, escalations, retries, rework and manual-intervention paths.
• Configure Workflow Center solutions: Configure models, forms, variables, business rules, task assignments and approved platform components; partner with engineers to define service interactions, APIs, data mappings and integration dependencies.
• Support end-to-end delivery: Contribute from intake and design through functional testing, UAT, deployment readiness, hypercare and production analysis; prepare test scenarios, investigate defects and maintain delivery and operating documentation.
• Embed controls and operational resilience: Model maker-checker controls, evidence requirements, rejection and resubmission, attestations, auditability and exception handling; escalate unclear requirements, conflicting rules and unresolved risks.
• Collaborate and communicate: Facilitate workshops and model walkthroughs; explain workflow behaviour in business language; provide concise updates on progress, decisions, dependencies, risks and defects.
• Apply standards and promote reuse: Follow BPMN, DMN, documentation, testing, naming and review standards; use and improve reusable patterns, templates, checklists and playbooks.
