Associate Technology Designer

Core Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, duress alarms, intercoms, perimeter detection, and related low-voltage systems.
• Develop and maintain detailed Revit models for electronic security and technology systems, ensuring compliance with project BIM standards and client requirements.
• Produce design documentation, including plans, elevations, details, schedules, and system layouts, using Revit and other design tools.
• Work with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to integrate technology systems within the overall building design.
• Participate in client BIM meetings and resolve design clashes through model reviews and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications, design reports, equipment schedules, and construction documentation.
• Support project managers and technical leads in delivering projects on schedule and within budget, including development of key deliverables and milestones as directed.
• Review architectural and engineering drawings to identify technology system requirements and integration opportunities.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and client guidelines.
• Build technical expertise in Revit, BIM workflows, security technologies, and design consulting practices.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, workflow, and project delivery through effective use of BIM technologies.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, much of the work may be performed while sitting at a desk, using a computer, typing, handling calls and using standard office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
