Key skills for this role
At Rune Technologies, we are building the logistics technology backbone that the U.S. and allied militaries need to dominate in large-scale combat operations. As a Front End Software Engineer at Rune, you will be part of a high-impact team working at the intersection of modern web engineering, operational logistics software, and mission-critical user experiences -- all in support of the warfighter at the tactical edge.
We are hiring an Associate Technical Recruiter to help build the team powering Rune’s next stage of growth. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for an early-career recruiter who has developed strong recruiting fundamentals and wants to grow quickly in a high-performing environment.
You will support and manage recruiting across technical and mission-critical roles, with a particular focus on software engineering and product hiring. You’ll work closely with the Head of Talent, hiring managers, and the broader recruiting team to evaluate candidates, manage hiring processes, maintain strong candidate engagement, and move searches forward with urgency.
This is not primarily a sourcing role—we have dedicated sourcing support. Your focus will be on candidate qualification, process management, candidate experience, and developing the judgment necessary to identify and close exceptional talent. This role reports directly to the Head of Talent and is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of recruiting experience who is organized, ambitious, comfortable working at a fast pace, and eager to develop into a highly capable technical recruiter.
Rune Technologies builds mission-critical software for military logistics and sustainment. Our flagship product is TyrOS, an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform that gives commanders a single, real-time operating picture of their sustainment fight, from inventory and distribution to medical and operational planning, even in degraded and contested environments.
We're not a traditional defense contractor. We're a small, fast-moving team that combines deep operational experience in and with the DoD with the software discipline of the best product companies, and we apply that combination to a customer set that desperately needs it. We stay close to our users by embedding directly with military units during exercises and rotations, and we ship constantly based on what we learn.
