Role overview

Role and responsibilities

• Create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute Selenium-based automated tests for web applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot test automation environments and frameworks.
• Develop scalable, reusable, and reliable automation frameworks.
• Define automation strategies and execution plans.
• Coordinate testing activities across project releases.
• Execute regression and functional test suites and analyze results.
• Improve testing processes, tools, methodologies, and automation coverage.
• Provide testing status updates, reports, and insights.
• Investigate and troubleshoot defects across web, API, mobile, and related applications.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Four to six years of proven experience in automation software testing.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience with automation frameworks, including TestNG and TDD/BDD-based frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and API automation.
• Working knowledge of defect tracking, test management tools, and Git operations.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, system, UAT, and database testing.
• Experience in database and SQL validation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in performance and stress testing.

Preferred skills

• Azure DevOps is preferred among test management tools.
• Experience with mobile automation for iOS and Android applications is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms is preferred.
• JMeter experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of automation framework architecture, design patterns, scalability, and maintenance best practices is preferred.
