Role overview

Manage and deliver capital investment projects with a Project Director or Regional Director.

Provide client-side project management across the full delivery lifecycle, from option studies through construction tender support and contract administration.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholders, schedules, contracts, clients, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Act as the primary interface with AECOM clients and build collaborative relationships.
  • Lead Project Management commissions and take responsibility for successful outcomes.
  • Manage project team outputs, quality standards, management information, and sign-off processes.
  • Provide line management and mentoring to reporting staff and manage Project Managers and early-career staff.
  • Identify business development and cross-selling opportunities and lead or contribute to bids.
  • Support the Regional Project Management Lead with wider team management.

Minimum requirements

  • Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, or similar, with commercial awareness.
  • Collaborative management approach, quality-driven mindset, and focus on effective outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Specific industry and project experience.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Valid security clearance is required; SC Level clearance is preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • Professional qualification or degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
  • Chartered status with ICE, RICS, CIOB, RIBA, or an equivalent institution is preferred.
  • APM affiliation and NEC3 or NEC4 accredited project manager status are preferred.
  • Public sector project delivery experience and commercial or residential sector experience are advantageous.
