The Associate Project Engineer summer internship is designed for college students seeking experience in the specialty construction industry.
Interns receive mentorship, hands-on activities, and exposure to construction management and PCI operations.
Interns complete an activities checklist and submit weekly project recaps describing completed work, collaboration, and learning outcomes.
Intern Activities
- Learn proposal writing, bid analysis, project scheduling, labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis.
- Attend pre-bid walkthroughs and work with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Learn to manage subcontractors, materials, equipment, safety processes, and specialized equipment utilization.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and maintain project documentation and correspondence.
