Role Overview
The Associate Product Manager works across product, engineering, operations, and business teams to turn ideas into clear requirements and executable plans.
The role supports agile execution, product documentation, customer feedback loops, and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
The position reports to the Product Manager or Head of Product and is based in the office in Pune.
Product Development Support
- Assist in defining features and requirements for new and existing products.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
- Develop user personas, user journeys, and workflows.
- Create product requirement documents, feature specifications, and use cases.
- Translate requirements into development backlogs and track execution through sprint planning.
Agile Process Facilitation
- Act as Scrum Master for assigned product clusters or modules.
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor sprint velocity, blockers, execution risks, backlog quality, and prioritization.
- Support adherence to agile practices and improve workflow clarity.
Product Analysis and Documentation
- Build understanding of Unbox Robotics products, workflows, and system architecture.
- Identify usability issues, feature gaps, and product improvement opportunities.
- Maintain product documentation, release notes, and feature libraries.
- Support product testing, validation, and readiness activities.
Coordination and Customer Engagement
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams.
- Gather and organize stakeholder feedback and communicate roadmap and release updates.
- Support customer demos, pilot discussions, product presentations, and customer calls.
- Respond to internal product queries and communicate product capabilities accurately.
Required Skills
- Strong product thinking, structured problem-solving, communication, coordination, follow-up, organization, and analytical attention to detail.
- Basic technical understanding of software and hardware systems.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Comfort using Jira, Confluence, Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, or similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with cross-functional stakeholders.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to robotics, warehouse automation, logistics technology, or industrial systems.
- Mechatronics knowledge, hardware prototyping exposure, or SQL, dashboarding, and analytics familiarity.
- Startup experience or prior experience in B2B product environments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Product Design, Operations, or a related field.
- Preferred academic branches include Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Science, and Industrial Engineering.
- The stated experience range is 0 to 3 years; strong interns with relevant exposure may also be considered.
- Internship or work experience in Product Management, Consulting, Startups, SaaS, Robotics, or Technology companies is preferred.
