Morningstar’s Analytics group develops and delivers proprietary methodologies, calculations, and analytical capabilities that help investors evaluate investments and make informed decisions. The Managed Investment Calculations team translates Morningstar’s research and intellectual property into accurate , scalable, and consistent analytics used across Morningstar products .
We are seeking a Associate Product Manager with strong business analysis and data analysis skills to lead the development and ongoing enhancement of managed investment calculation capabilities.
This role combines product ownership with hands-on analytical work. You will partner with methodology experts, quantitative researchers, engineering, and quality assurance teams to translate investment methodologies and business needs into detailed calculation specifications and reliable production capabilities. You will analyze complex investment datasets, prototype and validate calculations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure that implementations faithfully reflect Morningstar’s proprietary methodologies.
The ideal candidate brings analytical rigor, relevant investment knowledge, and the ability to learn complex financial concepts quickly. You should be comfortable both prioritizing a product backlog and using SQL to investigate underlying data. Prior knowledge of Morningstar’s products or methodologies is not required.
