Responsibilities
- Research, develop and pitch original story ideas
- Support producers and senior producers in planning shoots and interviews from pre production through to delivery
- Coordinate filming logistics including call sheets, schedules, travel, permits etc
- Write and assist with scripts and work collaboratively with producers and senior producers to create innovative, compelling content
- Produce high quality output whilst managing simultaneous projects
- Source archive, fact check material and ensure editorial accuracy throughout production
- Contribute ideas to improve workflows, production and team output
- Support the organization of media and archive where required
Requirements
- Experience in production, scripting, journalism, digital media or television content creation
- Strong editorial judgement and a passion for storytelling
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, solve problems and communicate effectively in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of digital and social storytelling trends
- Willingness to learn and pick up new skills
- Experience with filming equipment (nice to have)
- Experience of field producing (nice to have)
- Experience of working in an international newsroom (nice to have)
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Audition (nice to have)

Your New Role
- As an Associate Producer in the CNN Abu Dhabi Features team you will be an enthusiastic, organized, energetic team player, who can adapt to a fast paced environment and has a passion for storytelling and current affairs.
- You will work closely with Senior Producers, Producers, Photojournalists and across many creative areas within the features department.
- In this role, you will be focused on the production and development of stories from idea to delivery.
- You will help research, pitch, plan and produce compelling content across television, digital and social platforms.
- You will support shoots in the field and studio, logistics and ensure that content is delivered to the highest editorial standards.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Research, develop and pitch original story ideas
- Support producers and senior producers in planning shoots and interviews from pre production through to delivery.
