Role overview
The role is an Associate or Principal Mechanical Engineer within the water market and discipline.
The position supports wastewater treatment and desalination projects in Mumbai, Noida, or Bengaluru.
The contract is permanent and the work pattern is full time.
Mechanical design responsibilities
- Lead and analyze mechanical options for client and stakeholder agreement while maintaining the project Basis of Design.
- Prepare equipment layouts, civil outline drawings, piping specifications, calculations, RFQs, and equipment datasheets.
- Prepare technical bid evaluations and manufacturing clearances and check vendor general arrangement drawings.
- Design and check fabrication skids, piping drawings, pipe supports, mechanical layouts, material take-offs, and erection bills of materials.
- Coordinate with process, civil, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines and support site teams and as-built drawings.
Risk and quality responsibilities
- Identify and manage design risks, assumptions, environmental issues, and health and safety risks.
- Ensure designers’ responsibilities under CDM are followed and promote safe design practices.
- Ensure design teams follow engineering, CAD, and quality assurance procedures.
