Boeing Commercial Airplanes Materials & Processes (BCA M&P) is seeking an Associate or Experienced Composites Engineer (Level 2 or 3) for the 787 Fuselage Engineering Support Team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

This is your opportunity to be a part of a high-impact Engineering Support team that enables our 787 Airplane Program.
As an M&P engineer, you will define engineering requirements to develop, select, or recommend parts, materials, processes, manufacturing technologies, machinery, tools, and automation systems used in product design and manufacturing in accordance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
Additionally, you will qualify new materials, parts and processes to meet requirements and manage test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements. You will conduct analysis to characterize performance or determine reasons for failure of tools, materials, parts or processes to drive subsequent corrective or preventative actions. M&P engineers are responsible for using project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements while incorporating environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.
Support and assist with engineering design review
Support material and part qualifications internal to Boeing and at suppliers
Provide engineering support to the production system

This position may require up to 20 - 25% travel, domestically or internationally.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
2+ years of experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment

Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $91,800 - $124,200
Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $112,200 – $151,800
