Job Overview

  • The Associate Mechanical Engineer is responsible for utilizing existing Mechanical procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
  • They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Mechanical and Engineering.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Gain an understanding of the Mechanical engineering main duties in the different stages of the projects.
  • Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic engineering tasks.
  • Apply knowledge and skills to complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring.
  • Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures.
  • Organize own work to meet deadlines set by others.
  • Clearly communicate information, asking questions and checking for understanding.
  • Become familiar with all the quality and documentation systems.
  • Specify simple types of equipment by process and project requirements under lead engineer guidance.
  • Apply all relevant procedures, practices, and international standards according to their discipline.
  • Assist in supplying another discipline with relevant information.
  • Carry out all relevant drafting activities (e.g., Datasheet sketches, modifications drawings, etc.).
  • Support the drawings, documents, and inspection & test procedures review from sellers and manufacturers.

Essential Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Master’s Degree is preferred).
  • 0 3 years of experience in Oil and Gas.
  • Preferably Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or member of a professional engineering society.
  • Good English in writing and speaking (B2 Level).
  • Quality oriented and schedule conscious.
  • Good communication skills and team player behavior.
  • Show flexibility to assist colleagues and supervisors with increased workload.
  • Learning the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable.
  • Learning design techniques and analysis methods.
