The Associate Manager, Interconnected Merchandising Strategy is responsible for driving the execution and evolution of interconnected and online merchandising strategies, ensuring seamless integration with core merchandising. This role plays a critical leadership position within the Merchandising organization, translating strategy into measurable outcomes through strong cross-functional influence and disciplined execution.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Interconnected Merchandising Strategy, this role owns key interconnected initiatives, builds capabilities, improves merchandising processes, and fosters strong partnerships across the enterprise. The Associate Manager balances customer-centric thinking, operational rigor, and stakeholder leadership to deliver meaningful business impact in a multi-channel retail environment.
Acts as a primary liaison between Merchandising and cross-functional teams, enabling strong two-way communication, alignment, and execution.
Partners closely with merchants to support the development and execution of category strategies, providing insights, guidance, and problem-solving support.
Represents the merchandising perspective in cross-functional forums, translating merchant needs into enterprise initiatives and bringing broader context, updates, and decisions back to merchants.
Drives incremental online sales through e-commerce functionality enablement in partnership with Merchandising and E-commerce teams.
Maintains a strong understanding of merchant objectives, business priorities, and organizational goals to help shape strategies that deliver customer value and business results.

Partners with E-commerce, Technology, and Product teams to prioritize, develop, and implement online tools and functionality that enhance the category shopping experience.
Defines and monitors KPIs to track outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
Leads workshops to gather input and feedback; develops process maps and business requirements to streamline key merchandising programs.
Designs and delivers scalable, sustainable solutions using agile principles, proactively removing impediments to execution.
Owns end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives, including scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, and change management.
Partners with Technology and Product teams to translate business needs into executable solutions and ensure organizational readiness.
Communicates clearly and concisely with senior leaders and cross-functional partners through timely updates, insights, and recommendations.
Influences outcomes beyond direct span of control through credibility, strong relationships, and effective collaboration.
Facilitates cross-functional problem-solving sessions to align stakeholders and drive resolution.
Ensures reporting and insights are used proactively to inform decisions, track progress, and mitigate risk.
Reviews and validates team-generated reporting, recommendations, and executive-level materials.
Presents progress, outcomes, and roadmap updates to senior stakeholders.

Direct Manager: Senior Manager, Interconnected Merchandising Strategy
Travel: As required
Hybrid Work: Location Flex; Monday–Friday in office
Physical & Working Conditions: Standard office environment
Bachelor’s degree/diploma or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of experience in retail, consulting, product, strategy, or project-based roles.
Project Management or Product Management certification.
