Role Description
The role prepares and executes risk-based internal audits across business processes, IT, HR and expenses management, and financial markets.
The position reports to the Head of the Internal Audit Department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare audit materials and resources and implement the annual audit plan based on risk assessment.
- Prepare audit proposals and working papers and conduct independent reviews.
- Assess compliance with internal policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
- Identify process gaps, understand root causes with auditees, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and distribute audit reports highlighting issues and value-added recommendations.
- Follow up on rectification progress and implementation.
- Establish an audit risk model and monitor risk using data analysis tools.
- Develop audit procedures and work programs to achieve audit objectives.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by the department as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Two to five years of banking work experience is preferred, with internal or external audit experience preferably in banking, financial services, or IT-related projects.
- Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, or ACCA is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of data analytical programming such as SQL or Python is advantageous.
- Good PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a strong risk-control mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
