Role Description
- The Associate – Insurance Underwriter Cum Operations is a full time, on site role based in Dubai. This position supports end to end underwriting activities, including reviewing proposals, assessing risk profiles, verifying documentation, and preparing quotations in line with company guidelines and insurer requirements. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external partners to process policies, manage renewals, handle endorsements, and ensure accurate data entry into systems. The associate will monitor daily operational workflows, track cases, resolve discrepancies, and assist with reporting and compliance documentation. The role requires maintaining clear communication with brokers, agents, and other stakeholders, while supporting continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of insurance underwriting principles, policy structures, and risk assessment, preferably within the UAE or MENA market.
- Strong operations and administrative skills, including document management, data entry accuracy, and workflow tracking in fast paced environments.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn insurance or Insurtech platforms and CRM tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and agents.
- Analytical and detail oriented mindset with the ability to review documents, identify inconsistencies, and follow compliance procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work systematically in a structured on site setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; professional insurance certifications would be an advantage.
- Prior experience or internship in insurance underwriting, operations, or a related financial services role is preferred but not mandatory for strong entry level applicants.
