Providing strategic legal advice to Executives and senior leadership on business initiatives, risk management and regulatory compliance.
Supporting all business areas of the Company regarding a broad range of legal issues including within the legal disciplines of corporate law, commercial law, marketing & advertising, intellectual property, technology, privacy, employment, regulatory and compliance issues, as well as competition law.
Identifying legal and regulatory risks and developing proactive and creative mitigation strategies.
Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across business units.
Managing corporate/commercial legal matters, including the preparation, negotiation and management of the Company’s agreements.
Overseeing litigation matters, managing external counsel and developing case strategy.
Supporting data protection and cybersecurity legal obligations.
Developing and implementing internal compliance programs, training, and policies.
Managing the Department’s budget, while considering performance oversight and cost control.
Providing advice and legal services with respect to the Company’s dealer network.
Collaborating with global and regional legal teams on shared legal strategies and risk alignment.

Promoting a culture of compliance, ethics, and business-aligned legal support
Completion of an undergrad degree, LL.B. or J.D. and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario or an equivalent combination of experience and education
8-10+ years of relevant experience in same or similar function.
Excellent working knowledge of corporate/commercial law.
Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills.
High degree of critical thinking as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
Sharp and practical business acumen.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Able to work and think collaboratively.
Creative innovator
Self-starter and ability manage many matters simultaneously.
Strong research skills.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity
Starting salary is typically offered in the lower to mid portion of the range, with placement determined by the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. Candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience may be considered for compensation up to the maximum of the range.
