The successful candidate will join a dynamic and respected legal department with over 100 members and will be involved in litigation related to InterDigital’s patent licensing programs and other legal proceedings involving the company and its subsidiaries.
The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing InterDigital’s global intellectual property litigation strategy, including designing (in conjunction with in-house experts and outside counsel) that strategy.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity and be expected to evaluate the internal and external litigation needs and resources of the company and to implement necessary changes and additions.
While this is a global role, the successful candidate must have significant experience handling patent infringement cases in German Regional Courts and the UPC.
This position will report directly to the VP, Head of Litigation and will have significant contact with other members of the company’s management team, including senior executives.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and respected legal department with over 100 members and will be involved in litigation related to InterDigital’s patent licensing programs and other legal proceedings involving the company and its subsidiaries. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing InterDigital’s global intellectual property litigation strategy, including designing (in conjunction with in-house experts and outside counsel) that strategy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity and be expected to evaluate the internal and external litigation needs and resources of the company and to implement necessary changes and additions. While this is a global role, the successful candidate must have significant experience handling patent infringement cases in German Regional Courts and the UPC. This position will report directly to the VP, Head of Litigation and will have significant contact with other members of the company’s management team, including senior executives.
The successful candidate will have 10-15 years of directly relevant IP litigation experience, including within a law firm. The candidate will have experience advising patent owners, preferably SEP holders, and with FRAND litigation, in the technology industry or other IP-intensive businesses. The ideal candidate will have experience as lead or primary counsel in high-value patent enforcement litigation in German Regional Court proceedings, UPC proceedings and/or UK High Court proceedings - ideally all three jurisdictions.
