Role Overview
Support product specification, design, implementation, testing, and industrialization for Eaton medium-voltage LIPE products.
The role involves CAD modelling, prototype development, simulation, testing, and cost optimization in NPD and VAVE projects.
Work collaboratively with engineering leads and cross-functional product development teams.
Engineering Responsibilities
- Perform component sizing, modelling, and simulation for customer and IEEE requirements.
- Address short-time current, electromagnetic, thermal, and structural requirements.
- Perform design calculations, prototype trials, and lessons-learned documentation with engineering leads.
- Prepare CAD models, 2D drawings, bills of material, and document releases through SAP and Enovia ECR.
- Plan development work for on-time NPD, VAVE, feature, and enhancement delivery.
- Coordinate with product, design, simulation, reliability, marketing, and manufacturing teams.
- Identify risks and support mitigation during development.
- Develop prototype and testing protocols and assist with prototype builds and trials.
- Contribute to innovation disclosures, patents, trade secrets, and continuous improvement.
